From preventing zoonotic diseases and non-communicable diseases in animals, to ensuring food safety and security, promoting the mental and economic well-being of pet owners and livestock farmers, protecting wildlife and the ecosystems, contributing to antimicrobial resistance research and stewardship, conducting surveillance to inform bioterrorism, epidemic and pandemic preparedness, and engaging in public health research.
